ZIM is the open archive format that Kiwix uses to carry Wikipedia, Stack
Exchange, Project Gutenberg and other websites for offline reading, where
the internet is unavailable, expensive or censored. These tools work on ZIM
files:

  zimwriterfs   build a ZIM file from a directory of HTML
  zimcheck      verify a ZIM file's integrity and content
  zimdump       list or extract articles
  zimsearch     full-text search inside a ZIM file
  zimsplit      split a ZIM file into chunks
  zimdiff, zimpatch  make and apply differences between two versions
  zimrecreate   rewrite a ZIM file with the current format
  zimbench      benchmark reading a ZIM file
